9 American Superheroes Played By Actors Born in Other Countries
Henry Cavill is making the rounds promoting the new 'Man of Steel' movie. Aesthetically, Cavill looks like Superman -- or at least how we think Superman should look -- but as soon as he opens his mouth things go horribly wrong.
It's not that Cavill is unintelligent or blessed with the voice of chipmunk. It's just that's he's not from America. Henry William Dalgliesh Cavill is a British actor from Jersey and NOT that Jersey.
Superman is American dammit! Born on Krypton but America is his adopted home. Superman can't have a British accent. He's as American as apple pie not British as cheese on toast.
OK, we're just kidding, it's cool Cavill's not from the US but after further review it dawned on us that plenty of our big screen heroes aren't of this Earth country. Check out this quick list of American superheroes played by actors and actresses born in countries other than the US.
Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern
Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler
Eric Bana as The Hulk
Hugh Jackman as Wolverine
NOTE: Canada isn't part of America? Are you sure?

NOTE: America bought Asgard in like 1921. Check your history books.
