Artist Turns Old Comic Books Into Awesome Collages

While we’re still hanging on to our dog-eared copy of ‘Stripperella No. 1,’ strictly for sentimental reasons, of course, Mike Alcantara is doing something much more creative with his old comic books.

The Austin, TX artist has created awesome art collages out of old superhero and sci-fi comics. Alcantara used only comic books – ‘X-Men,’ ‘Captain America,’ ‘Daredevil’ and more — to create these geeky works – no paint, no drawings, just 100% pure comic book covers and pages. He’s turned sequential art into impressive cut-up craftwork.

Check out a few of our favorites below and see more at Alcantara’s Etsy page.
