Mike Moody is the most confident of all the under confident kids in his class. His hobbies are writing (blog posts and reviews, not like books or anything hard), having sexual relations with his wife (Consensual!), and humming the theme from the '90s 'X-Men' animated series. He's obsessed with pop culture, cult TV shows and cheeseburgers. Double meat. Follow Mike on Twitter, visit his blog, Screenpunk, harass him on Facebook, and read his TV reviews and interviews at Badass Digest and Austinist.
We’re living in a great new age where crowdfunding sites like Kickstarter can help creative little projects, like the ‘Veronica Mars’ movie and the wonderfully nerdy indie flick ‘Zero Charisma,’ get off the ground and into theaters and homes everywhere. The latest Kickstarter-funded project we’re excited about is the new animated adaptation of the ‘Grimm Fairy Tales’ comic.
We’ve long suspected that every movie ever made could be a little better if only Bruce Wayne popped in for a few minutes, all caped and cowled up, to provide a little of that crazy Dark Knight tension.
We’ve probably watched the new ‘Iron Man 3’ trailer about a million times, so you can say our anticipation for the superhero sequel is pretty high. We’re guessing you dug the trailer too, and we’re hoping you liked it so much that you’ll also enjoy this awesomely low budget shot-for-shot remake of the trailer by the Cinefix folks.
We’ve got plenty of reasons to look forward to the release of ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’ – it’s loaded with big, badass stars (like Bruce Willis and Dwayne Johnson), tons of action, and plenty of explosions. But here’s the real reason we’re anticipating this action sequel so much – it stars the Adrianne Palicki as the sexiest Joe of them all, Lady Jaye.
How’d you like to wake up with the knowledge that you've been shot in the head? Yeah, that would suck, but what if the bullet that was stuck in your skull triggered some pretty cool supernatural powers? Yeah, now we’re talkin’! That’s what happens to the protagonist in ‘Bullet Head,’ an awesome new short film directed by Franco Movsesian. We love it so much, we think Movsesian needs to turn this five minute short into a feature film. Actually, we’ve got a list of five sweet short films that would make great feature-length movies. Check ‘em out.
Hey, ‘Game of Thrones’ fans! Are you loving that sweet poster of Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister at the top of this post? Of course you are! You wanna see more awesome ‘GoT’ art like that? Of course you do!
You may think of the U.S. Postal Service as a dusty and outmoded institution, and we wouldn't argue with you, but it seems the good ol’ USPS is still doing something right. Just check out its latest batch of cool Forever Stamps featuri
Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee may have been the big guest star of the recent London Super Comic Con, but it's the super cute British cosplay babes in this sweet video from the Con that's making us regret not hopping across the pond to enjoy the geeky celebration.
