New ‘Awesomenauts’ Characters Are On The Way

The downloadable, mutiplayer battle arena extravaganza Awesomenauts aims to keep its burgeoning fan base interested by pumping out downloadable content. A pair of new characters are said to be on the way, and you won't have to wait for them to show up on your download queues before you get to know them.

XBLA Fans rounds up a slew of postings on GameFAQs forums from a user who claims to have sifted through some code to discover everything you ever wanted to know about the characters but were afraid to ask.

Coco Nebulon is a goggles-sporting surfer chick who says she's hot and cool at the same time. Derpi Zork is a mech-controlling nephew of a business magnate. The posts reveal all sorts of specs, biographical info and other tidbits about these new Awesomenauts.

Publisher Ronimo games haven't confirmed the info, but for all we know they planted the posts as leaks, because people get all excited for info and pictures that appears to be forbidden.
