Ben Revere won Monday, even though his team lost. There are a zillion Major League Baseball games every season, and almost every one of them features a great play of some kind. Revere's catch was better than almost all of them. Revere's catch during the second inning of the Phillies-Reds game in Cincinnati on Monday night was among the best grab most fans will ever see in their lifetimes. Exaggeration? Nope. Just watch video of Revere's catch in the media player above.

Revere's catch was better than Devon White's grab in the 1992 World Series and Adam Jones' pulling in a fly ball in Seattle in 2011. Perhaps the only catch that Revere's didn't surpass was Jim Edmonds' legendary diving grab with the Angels in 1997.

After Revere made the catch on Todd Frazier's liner, he threw back to first base to get Jay Bruce for a double play. Even Phillies' pitcher Cliff Lee couldn't help but say 'Wow!' The Cincinnati crowd reaction was incredible, too. They clearly couldn't believe Revere made the catch. A highlight like this could make Revere an early favorite to win a National League Gold Glove. Unfortunately, the Phillies' lost the game, 4-2.
