Carrie Underwood coming to 'Sunday Night Football'?

Earlier this spring, NBC announced that country music star Faith Hill was stepping down as the voice of its 'Sunday Night Football' intro song. Since the announcement, there has been rampant speculation as to whom the network would select to replace Hill on the track: Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Ozzy Osbourne?

Though there were other interesting suggestions to replace Hill, most were better in concept than practice. A different act every week seemed cool now, but given how uneven the Super Bowl halftime shows have been, NBC and the NFL could have been courting a nightmare by having live performances before each game. You never know when a nipple or a blackout might take down the broadcast.
