Even if your crop consists of one spider plant in your apartment, you can't go wrong by grabbing yourself some of this outstanding Belgian beer this summer.
Pliny The Elder
Unlike its (also very good) Russian River Brewing Company counterpart Pliny The Younger, Pliny The Elder is a more readily available India Pale Ale (IPA). The IPA style can be a bit bracing to those drinkers unaccustomed to beers with hoppy profiles, but PTE's blend of citrus and pine notes translates into a flavorful drinking experience.
AleSmith Speedway Stout
Beer with coffee overtones may not seem like a pleasant drinking experience, but San Diego's AleSmith Speedway Stout gets it right. Drinkers experience the dark chocolate and caramel notes of this rich dark beer with a big 12% alcohol-by-volume (ABV). Enjoy responsibly.
