To some purists, the Chevy Corvette ZR1 might be more of a sports car than an unadulterated muscle car, but for those of us who remember our "hip" neighbor, or the local Don Juan cruising around in a classic Corvette (usually with a hot girl by his side), this is one vehicle that packs a nostalgia-inducing wallop.

The updated version of the Corvette is fairly pricey, coming in at over a 100 grand, but you get an awful lot of car for that price, including a 6.2-liter V8 engine that generates 638 horsepower, all housed beneath the sleek and iconic Corvette curves, along with a host of nifty technological features that will make driving this beast a bit easier.

If you want the fastest Corvette on the planet, you’re going to have to pay a little (or a lot) more for it.
