Chris Jones Commits to Mississippi State — National College Signing Day 2013

Chris Jones, ranked among the nation's top-rated prep defensive ends, announced Wednesday that he would play at Mississippi State.

Jones is a mammoth 6-foot-5, 250-pound senior at Houston High School in Houston, Miss. He had 160 tackles and 14 sacks in 2012

“He is the marquee guy and would be for most classes,” said Chad Simmons, the southeast recruiting manager for Scout.com. “(He’s) the No. 20 player in the country, top player in the state, guy (MSU has) had in control for 7-8 months."

Jones considered Mississippi, but decided to play for the rival Bulldogs.
