Nintendo's kicking off a promotion that starts today, giving 3DS players a chance to download some of the digital offerings from the eShop.

We're looking at a weekly sale, folks, with a different game featured every week. First up is Bit.Trip Saga, which drops down to $9.99 from $14.99. Next week will be Crashmo, the excellent 3D puzzler, which comes down from $8.99 to $5.99.

The following weeks will see price drops for Fractured, Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword, Ketzal's Corridors, and Mutant Mudds. It seems like the sale is only for these great indie games, but we'll have to see if they'll do something similar for some of the beefier titles that are available for download in the eShop.

Another 3DS-centric promotion that Nintendo has planned is a free game offer, starting next month. If you buy and register a 3DS XL with either Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon or Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, you'll be able to download one of the following games for free: Super Mario 3D Land, Art Academy: Lessons For Everyone, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, Starfox 64 3D, or Freaky Forms Deluxe: Your Creations, Alive! This promotion will run from March 21st, 2013 to April 30th, 2013, so if you've been wanting to get a 3DS XL, there's your perfect window!

Let us know which of these games you'll be picking up within the next month or so and whether or not you'll take advantage of the 3DS promo!
