Dark Knight’s Commissioner Gordon Action Figure Is Eerily Real
Fans everywhere are chompin' at the bit to see 'The Dark Knight Rises'. When movie tickets go on "advanced sale" some 6 weeks before its release, the term "highly anticipated" just doesn't do it justice. Fanboys are grabbing any and all merchandise tied to the flick, but even they have do a double take with Commissioner Gordon's action figure.
Only true diehards will appreciate the attention to detail that manufacturer 'Hot Toys' put into Jim's wrinkles, grey hairs, and steely gaze. Seriously, how creepy is this doll? Especially if you're Gary Oldman.
The company, which was established in 2000, makes an extensive line-up of high end collectibles that includes other characters from the DC and Marvel universes like 'The Avengers', 'Superman', 'Spider-Man', 'Terminator Salvation', 'Pirates of the Caribbean', 'Aliens', and 'Predators'. The products make Madame Tussaud's wax sculptures look like a pre-schooler's play dough project. They even produce the freakin' 'Suit Up Gantry' from Iron Man 2. WHO IS BUYING THAT?!?
While the eery likeness of Gordon's figure might scare off some, the life-like depictions of Black Widow, Biohazard's Jill Valentine, and Resident Evil's Alice should make for one hell of a re-enactment in your parents' basement. Call it, 'Attack of the Giant One-Eyed Worm' maybe?
