Emily Haines of ‘Metric’ — Crush of the Day

Prolific singer and keyboardist Emily Haines is the lead singer of 'Metric,' and she’s also a member of indie pop collective Broken Social Scene. The sexy songstress, who first caught our eye when 'Metric' released their first album in 2003, also performs as a solo artist under the name Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton.Before Emily helped make 'Metric' one of the most successful Canadian new wave rock bands of the last 15 years with her direct, dulcet vocals and seductive style, she studied art and music from an early age. Her father was a poet who encouraged Emily’s artistic endeavors.

Since the release of their first LP almost nine years ago, the band has been featured on countless movie soundtracks and has won the loyalty of fans all over the world.
