GameStop is starting to approach Bill Belichick levels of strange-sounding but ultimately savvy trades.

The former game and games-systems swapper started spreading out its range when it began to accept iPod/iPad/iPhone trade-ins. Then it got just plain silly when it starting swapping Skylanders toys. Now the company has started taking certain Android phones and tablets in exchange for cash or store credit.

Gadget Experts reports GameStop will start taking your Samsung Infuse, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Samsung Nexus S this summer, going nationwide with the program by the end of the year. It doesn't take much imagination to guess that GameStop will eventually start buying and trading everything else in the magically delicious Android rainbow.

The offering is cool for those who are looking for a no-hassle way to unload their old phones and tabs as they upgrade to new ones, but will also make thieves more likely to zero in on your stuff in hopes of hocking it at the corner GameStop.

At this rate, it won't be long until GameStop is taking your hubcaps and neck chains. Just don't try bringing in your old GameCube stuff anymore.
