Nissan Europe is touting its latest car, The Juke-R, with a short film featuring a guy who won a shot to race for real thanks to his dominance at the video game Gran Turismo.

Lucas Ordoñez is a graduate from Nissan's inaugural PlayStation GT Academy.  The video, called "Desert Nemesis," shows Ordonez in a dramatization of his professional race for Nissan in Dubai.  Rob Kaplan directed the approximately 6-min film which pits the gamer-turned-racer against local motor sport enthusiast Salah Salahuddin. The Dubai native used his supercars — a Lambourghini, a 458 and an SLS — on the streets of the city's International Marina.

According to his website, the 26-year-old Spaniard also raced at the Le Mans 24 Hours last year.  Not bad for a guy who was studying for his MBA, then decided to test his skills of PlayStation 3 Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and beat out 25,000 other contestants.

See guys, screw studying and keep at those video games.
