We're not really up-to-date on Major League Lacrosse but we do know an amazing shot when we see one. This effort from John Grant Jr. is something we couldn't even imagine working in practice much less a game.

Even more amazing is the fact that this was the goal that gave him a hat trick, but that's not all. John went on to score three more goals for a double hat trick or, as it's known in the lacrosse world, the 'sock trick'.

According to Wikipedia, the term originated in 2004 when Colorado Mammoth superstar Gary Gait scored six in a game against the Anaheim Storm, prompting fans to throw socks onto the playing surface.

We understand why so many people wear socks with sandals to lax games now.
