The Louis Vuitton purses down on Canal Street in Chinatown in Manhattan (where merchants take you into secret rooms and have you fearing for a second that you'll be abducted and sold into slavery, never to be heard from again) aren't the only things that are fake. That story about the famed, luxe French fashion house bringing its recognizable "LV" logo to the condom market? Faker than a porn star's on-camera orgasm. Come on, no one moans that loud.

Last week, The Huffington Post reported that LV would be adding to its clothing and handbag repertoire by manufacturing condoms with LV packaging. Even the prophylactics themselves would have logos embossed on them. How brilliant, right? Doubling her pleasure indeed. Well you can't, since the idea of LV condoms wasn't dreamt up by the brand's director Marc Jacobs -- another designer your girlfriend worships. The condom was devised by Georgia Republic architect Irakli Kiziria for World AIDS Day last December but won't be manufactured en masse.

If these condoms were real, they should come free with every handbag. At least it's promoting safe sex while getting screwed.
