A South Carolina man pawned his wedding ring for $20 so he could afford a prostitute, police said. Marvin Holmes, 33, was arrested by Greenwood, S.C. police last week while with a woman the authorities know to be a prostitute.

Police say Holmes picked up the woman and told her that he didn't have any money. After the hooker said she'd charge $20 for her services, Holmes drove to a pawn shop and got the money in exchange for his wedding ring. An officer pulled the couple over shortly after that time. Holmes confessed to having marital problems to the officer, who charged him with solicitation of prostitution and driving under suspension.

Marital problems? A couple arguing over which direction to orient the toilet paper is a marital problem. Mr. Holmes has a full blown marital disaster happening. It's bad enough that he sought out a prostitute while married, but to not have enough money for her services and THEN to pawn your wedding ring — for $20! — in exchange for them and get caught by police? This guy is lucky the police car he rode back to the station in wasn't hit by a bus. No marriage counselor in the world can fix this guy's bad luck. Watch a video recap of the case below:
