Montravius Adams, the nation's second-rated prep defensive tackle, announcedWednesday that he would play at Auburn. Adams is a 6-foot-3, 290-pound senior at Dooly County High School in Vienna, Ga. He recorded more than 100 tackles as a senior.

“I loved Clemson, but in the end I think Auburn was the right choice for me," Adams said Wednesday. "My mom loved everything about Auburn. The school, the coaches -- everything.”

Adams chose Auburn over Alabama, Clemson and Georgia. When Georgia recruiting coordinator Rodney Garner left the Bulldogs for Auburn, it may have swayed Adams to choose the Tigers over the Bulldogs.
