The South Region of the NCAA Tournament featured only one game on Saturday.

Michigan shook off an injury from star Trey Burke to handle South Dakota State in its second-round game, while VCU absolutely put the hammer down in its dismantling of Akron. Burke was okay for the tilt against the Rams, but the Wolverines didn't need his help against the battle-tested Atlantic 10 squad.
