Oregon Eatery Caters To Stoners With Pot-Infused Food
Marijuana is slowly becoming slightly less unacceptable.
So far, 16 of the 50 states have approved legislation for the sale and use of marijuana for “medically prescribed uses.” And another 12 states have pending legalization legislation. We would cough here while muttering a certain curse word that rhymes with ‘bull spit’ to express our disbelief that marijuana is purely being used for those reasons, but marijuana is still illegal in our state and we wouldn’t want the five-o to think we’re carrying.
Oregon, however, was one of the first states to ease the laws against marijuana. So, it makes sense that a restaurant there would offer foods infused with the same green goodness that makes you forget things like the day of the week and laugh at a bathtub toy for hours on end because it’s not in a bathtub (and therefore, is it still a bathtub toy? We just blew your mind, man.)
The Earth Dragon Edibles Restaurant and Lounge of Ashland, Ore. offers Mongolian barbecue and stir-fry cooked with pure medical marijuana. The bowls (no pun intended on our part) come with your choice of traditional stir-fry meat and veggies and your choice of Yakisoba noodles or brown or white rice along one of three levels of “cannabis content.” No, the levels are not Cheech, Chong and Snoop.
Something like this is bound to catch on once marijuana becomes more accepted and (God forbid) legal. Just imagine: you could go to your local supermarket and pick up a big box of Cinnamon Toasted Crunch, some Reduced Fat Weed Thins and a pack of Amsterdam Bubble Yum from the register. We could do this weed pun thing all day, but it’s just making us hungry.
