Starbucks’ Eggnog Latte is the Big Mac of Holiday Drinks

If there is one thing the holiday season is good for, it’s getting to partake in many delicious, yet terribly unhealthy, food and drinks. Starbucks’ Eggnog Latte may be pushing the envelope of bad holiday food a little too far.

The veritable diabetes in a cup, or ‘festive favorite’ as Starbucks likes to call it, boasts a staggering 73.8 grams of sugar in one cup. Clocking in at a total of 579 calories it has 90 more calories than a Big Mac. So in terms of nutrition, the drink is a McDonald’s sandwich in a cup.

The total lack of nutritional value is alluring to fat people like us. Dr. Frankie Phillips, of the British Dietetic Association said in a comment to The Mirror, that that much sugar and calories in one drink is ‘alarming.’

We consider it more of a challenge.
