The Binding of Isaac is one of those elusive indies that PC snobs lord over their console bros to prove their superiority. The game, which has been compared to The Legend of Zelda, lets you play as a naked Biblical character who hides in his mom's basement when he hears God has ordered his dad to sacrifice him.

Those who have beaten the game and are hungry for more of its offbeat action can look forward to May 28, the day the Wrath of the Lamb expansion releases. Creator Edmund McMillen tells Joystiq that this will be the only expansion the game will ever see, because he'll be full-steam ahead on Super Meat Boy: The Game.

The Binding of Isaac was well-reviewed, but there are still no plans for a console release -- maybe because mainstream game companies are skittish about its themes.
