‘The Heat’ Trailer – What’s the Song?

âThe Heatâ — a new film starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy – follows the misfit pair of women in their quest to take down a drug lord. In the trailer for the upcoming comedy, the lyrics âLive fast, die young / Bad girls do it wellâ are appropriately paired with clips of the unruly females causing trouble wherever they go. These lyrics are from the tune âBad Girlsâ by M.I.A.
The song was originally unveiled back in January via Interscope. A remix of the track, produced by Switch and featuring hip-hop icons Missy Elliott and Rye Rye, was released in July.
Whether sheâs writing a memoir, dabbling in fashion or working on new music, M.I.A. is always up to something. The singer plans to unleash her fourth studio album some time next year, which she has chosen to label âMatangiâ (a tribute to her birth name, Mathangi). She recently tweeted that the record will be released alongside not only her new book, but a documentary and an art exhibition as well. She hasnât disclosed concrete details yet, but maybe sheâll drop a few more hints via Twitter soon.
