Winter's great and all, but enough is enough. It's time for Spring already. (Maybe just one or two more shots of Lindsey Vonn in that racing suit, but then that's it.)

To drink in the season, the hopheads over at Samuel Adams have brewed up three brand new beers, and paired them with three favorites, to create a 12-pack that would make Persephone drop her olive wreath. (She's the Greek goddess of Spring. Google it.)

Only available through the end of March, the Spring Thaw Variety Pack includes, along with the classic Boston Lager, two bottles each of the following 5 beers :

Double Agent IPL. The best of both worlds, Double Agent has the distinct bold grapefruit & piney hop character of an IPA, cleverly disguised as a smooth lager.

Alpine Spring. A single hop brew with Noble Tettnang hops from the foothills of the Alps, this unfiltered lager is the perfect brew for spring—flavorful enough for cooler weather but with citrus balanced with crisp maltiness for the warmer months to come.

Maple Pecan Porter. This is a full-bodied Porter that delivers a hint of sweet Vermont maple syrup and pecans. Along with some coffee and chocolate.

White Lantern. Belgian-style whites have a long history of unique ingredients, as Belgian brewers experimented with new spices discovered during the spice trade. This hazy brew is no different. It combines crisp wheat, tangerine & orange peel, and the spiciness of coriander & Grains of Paradise.

Irish Red. Pale and Caramel malts give the beer its rich, deep red color and distinctive caramel flavor. The sweetness of the malt is balanced out by a pronounced hop bitterness and an earthy note from the East Kent Goldings hops.

Remember, this variety pack is only around until the end of March, then it disappears with the winter frost. But fans of Irish Red, White Lantern and Double Agent can relax; those are available in 6-packs all year long.
