The second season of 'The Walking Dead' may be done but you can't put a good zombie down. Not easily, anyway. Telltale Games has just released this trailer for their upcoming videogame adaptation that's set to hit next month.

Anyone worried for spoiling the story need not fear, because this is actually a prequel about a separate group of characters. You'll follow convicted criminal Lee Everett, a man who ends up protecting an orphaned girl named Clementine. While this is a sidestory you'll visit some familiar locations and even run into some familiar faces, seeing what they were up to before we met up with them in the comics and TV show. True to Telltale's adventure game roots, the game will focus more on the characters than the action.

“Telltale has done a phenomenal job in making a game that meets the expectations of fans,” says Robert Kirkman, creator of 'The Walking Dead'. “Running around with a gun isn’t what 'The Walking Dead' is about; it’s about is how people caught in an apocalypse deal with facing their own death every day, and the horrible choices they have to make to survive. Telltale’s game series has captured the spirit of the comic books perfectly.”

If you're not familiar with Telltale Games they're the guys who released successful episodic series of everything from 'Sam and Max' to 'Tales of Monkey Island', and more recently they've been playing around with some big licenses like 'Back to the Future' and 'Jurassic Park'. That last game was their sole misstep- let's hope 'The Walking Dead' is more like their older titles.

Telltale has the series available for pre-order on PC/Mac at a cheaper price on their website (the five-episode season for $22.49 instead of $24.99). It will also be available on Xbox Live Marketplace and Playstation Network for five bucks a pop when the first episode hits late April.
