Last week we brought you the sad tale of Barbara Lafleur who was ostracized and then arrested in Ballston, NY because she decided to go to the lumber yard wearing only her birthday suit. Well it turns out Lafluer could have satisfied her exhibitionist urges without attracting the attention of the fuzz if only she had strategically covered up key parts of her bottom half. We know this thanks to Moira Johnston, aka 'The Topless New Yorker."

For the past few weeks, Johnston has been walking around her Manhattan neighborhood without any kind of shirt (or bashfulness) to raise awareness of a 1992 law which allows women to expose their breasts anywhere in New York were men also aren't required to wear a shirt. Consider our awareness raised.

The folks at the blog Racked caught up with Johnston in NYC and asked her about what kind of responses her boobs are getting.

"I get a lot of support," she said. (No pun intended?) "Well, there's mixed reactions, because people aren't used to seeing it in our culture yet."

So what do you think? Should more women take advantage of New York state's liberal nudity laws? Or are nipples best viewed in the privacy of your bedroom and/or home computer? You can see some NSFW photos of Johnston here.
