The Western Conference held on to beat the Eastern Conference at the 2013 NBA All-Star game 143-138. Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers was crowned MVP of the All-Star Game for this stellar performance of 20 points and 15 assists. Kevin Durant led the West with 30 points.

Camelo Anthony led the East with 26 points and 12 rebounds and LeBron James scored 19 points on the night.

The 2013 NBA All-Star game was played on Sunday, Feb. 17 at the Toyota Center in Houston, TX and aired on TNT television. Home of the Houston Rockets franchise, this was the 62nd NBA All-Star game and the third time the city of Houston will host the NBA All-Star game.

Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James and Kevin Garnett were among the top vote getters for the Eastern Conference squad and Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin were fan favorites for the Western Conference. Kobe Bryant received the most votes for the 2013 NBA All-Star game.

In events held in the days prior to the 2013 NBA All-Star game, Toronto’s Terrence Ross won the NBA slam dunk contest thanks to fan voting via tweets and texts. After making 17 of his first 18 shots in the final round, Cleveland guard Kyrie Irving beat the Spurs’ Matt Bonner, 23-20 to win the three-point competition. Portland’s Damian Lillard won the skills competition and the team of Chris Bosh, Dominique Wilkins and Swin Cash won the Shooting Stars contest at the 2013 NBA All-Star game.
