Wichita State upset No. 1 seed Gonzaga, 76-70, in the 2013 NCAA tournament's West Regional late Saturday night. Among the people whose brackets probably weren't shocked by the outcome: WWE wrestler The Big Show or, as Wichita State fans know him, Paul Wight.

Years before he became The Big Show, the 7'1" Wight played center (of course) for Wichita State during the 1991-92 season. Here's The Big Show's page in an old Wichita State media guide:

Wight had a size 18 shoe, a size 22 ring and a power mullet. Intimidating! Wight averaged 2.0 points per game for a dismal Shockers team that went 8-20 during the '91-'92 season. Presumably most of Wichita State's opponents shot from outside to avoid being chokeslammed in the lane. Wight transferred to Southern Illinois University — Edwardsville the following year.

The Big Show was in Ireland yesterday for a charity walk and hasn't yet tweeted his jubilation at the Wichita State upset. We hope no one in an Irish pub decided to confront him over their busted bracket.
