Yule Log on Stadium Jumbotron Prompts Four People to Call 911

Tis' the season for video footage of crackling fireplaces. We humans are an odd group. Anyway, Yule Logs are very popular this time of year and the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL wanted to get fans in the holiday spirit by putting a burning Yule Log on their stadium Jumbotron. Some people thought the fire was legit and called the cops and in some cases even reported smelling smoke.

The Deputy Fire Chief in Regina is trying to get the stadium to replace the Yule Log, so his men don't spend the next month rushing to the stadium to put out pixelated fires. "Maybe some snowflakes or Santa or something like that," he said.

Not a bad idea but if calls to 911 regarding a red-suiting wearing fat man sneaking into the stadium double in the next week, don't go complaining to the team officials.
