The 32-year-old actress, singer-songwriter from Los Angeles currently appears as the lead in the Fox series 'New Girl'. She also hosted Saturday Night Live on February 11th and nailed an impression of an Olsen twin (see video below).

Zooey contributed a cover of Buddy Holly's "It's So Easy" for the tribute album 'Listen to Me: Buddy Holly', released in September 2011. A month later, she was featured on 'A Very She & Him Christmas' 'album release. In May, country music singer Loretta Lynn announced Zooey would play her in the Broadway musical of her autobiography.

The sister of 'Bones' star Emily placed 17th on FHM's Sexiest Women of 2012 and 41st on Maxim's Hot 100.

This year, Deschanel was nominated for Best Actress - Television Series Musical or Comedy at the Golden Globes, Fashion Icon and Actress: Comedy at the Teen Choice Awards, Best Song Written for Visual Media at the Grammys, and Best Comedy Actress at the Comedy Awards.
