The joke wound up being on this guy.

Police in Florida's Palm Beach County arrested 24-year-old Joshua James for throwing a three-and-a-half foot alligator in a Wendy's drive-thru window as a joke because this young man does not know the definition of "playing a prank."

James had gotten his order when he grabbed the creature from the back of his truck and fired it into the window in a lame attempt to play a joke, but a very successful attempt to continue to ruin Florida's image.

The incident took place last October, but James was only brought into custody this week.

James, who reportedly loves Steve Irwin, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, petit theft, and unlawful possession of an alligator.

James has been barred from going into any Wendy's, which means he can't enjoy that awesome "4 for $4" promotion. He's also been ordered to keep away from animals.  The alligator was since released into a local canal.

James' parents, meanwhile, say their son merely played a "stupid prank" because "he's a prankster. He does stuff like this because he thinks it's funny." Somehow, we think he won't be finding it funny when he's living in their basement for the next 30 years while trying to pay off the legal bills footed by them.
