One of the most haunting games you'll ever have the privilege of playing, Limbo is as stark as the name suggests.

Nearly completely silent, with monochromatic black and white graphics and no description whatsoever of how to play, it's a truly unique experience. You play a nameless boy who awakens alone in a dark forest, much like Dante. Looking for his missing sister he sets off into the darkness, avoiding dangers and solving various puzzles to advance. There are some serious dangers along the way and the little boy can die in really horrible ways if you're not careful, only making the game more brutal.

It's difficult to explain how much the visuals and sound create the atmosphere without seeing it in motion -- definitely check out the trailer below if you somehow haven't dived into the game already.
