Talk about your racing stripes.

Fans of SEC football are notorious for their devotion to their schools, but one deranged die-hard LSU alum is literally driving that point home.

Don Domingue, a former business consultant from Lafayette, LA, loves his LSU Tigers so much that he decided to paint purple stripes on his yellow Lamborghini Gallardo so that the speedster matches the school’s colors. No one has turned more heads on campus since the Honey Badger was returning pick-sixes during two-a-days.

Domingue, who bought the car used about a year ago when it had 9,000 miles on it, had no designs on turning it into more of the eye-catching vehicle than a Lamborghini already is. Inspiration struck out of the blue – or yellow – in this case:

"I drove it a while, and saw the yellow when I was watching a football game and noticed that the helmet color was the same color as my car, and I just put two and two together. I thought my car would look cool with some purple tiger stripes if I took it to the game.”

He went to extremes to show his devotion and sure doesn’t sound like he regrets it, unlike some people who opt for drastic cosmetic modifications.

It remains to be seen if this will be the newest trend among fans, although can't you just picture someone in Tallahassee thinking about sprucing up his Rolls Royce with the image of Nick Saban on the hood and Bear Bryant on the trunk?
