The stunning end to a trilogy unlike any other in video games. That's not hyperbole. There's never been a game before that's let you really live as another person the way Mass Effect has. Over the many hours of gameplay, you'll grow genuinely attached to the people in this universe. It's a gutpunch when your decisions cost them their lives. The third installment has some excruciating decisions to make and life in the universe hangs in the balance. There's no messing around this time.
The Mass Effect 2 improved greatly on the first but the third installment offers better action, more epic scenes, a wonderful multiplayer mode and (yeah, we'll say it) a satisfying end to the story. It's the greatest achievement of this console generation.
