Skate or who? Tony Hawk's name is attached to the best skateboarding sim around, one that saw its finest installment way back in 2000. True to Activision's MO, the game makers cranked them out well past the point of saturation, but before that happened we got some amazing installments. The hyperrealistic skateboarding encouraged gamers to keep chaining together moves to get around the world, grinding along edges and doing tricks in midair to keep going.

THPS2's great soundtrack (that covered punk, metal and hip hop) only made you that much more happy to hit restart after messing up a trick.
