Does Bruce Wayne Drive a Gotham City Built Chrysler 300?
Car advertisements in movies are nothing new. James Bond has been whoring himself out to auto manufacturers for decades so it comes as no surprise that a car company would want to be a part of the hype surrounding 'The Dark Knight Rises,' hitting theaters on July 20th.
According to the new commercial shown below, what appears to be a high tech looking batcave is filled with Canada's finest Detroit automotive assemblers (the car is built in Canada, not Detroit!) who put together a super cool looking gun-metal Chrysler 300 with flames coming out of the exhaust. We're going to assume that Bruce would only want to drive the baddest of the Chrysler 300's, opting for the SRT8 version sporting a 6.4L HEMI V8 that puts out 465 horsepower and 465 lb-ft. of torque. Otherwise what's the point, right? You don't want guys like Bane beating you in the 1/4 mile.
We have no idea if the Chrysler 300 actually appears in 'The Dark Knight Rises' but it's a safe bet to say that we'll at least see it parked in the driveway. Bruce Wayne can afford any car he wants and the 300 is one bad beast. We just wish you'd buy an American car that's actually built in America, Bruce. Superman would.
