There are those who claim America has lost its sense of community, and that our dependency on technology and addiction to social media have actually further isolated us instead of connecting us in a more humane way. You may have heard that from one of the Occupy Wall Street protesters.

Though one non-hippie dude, 29-year-old Joseph Garner, decided to test this theory by documenting a trip across the US of A without any money and without any contact with those he knew. He called this project 'Craigslist Joe' because he accomplished all this by using only -- wait for it -- Craigslist.

Garner's closest friends and family gave him four days to a week and a half before he'd give up. But in his travels, Joe last far longer, connecting with a cast of quirky characters that proved reality is "far stranger than fiction Hollywood could come up with."

Among those are a perv who wants our protagonist to play with his... rooster... a homeowner who hasn't washed his bedsheets in two years, a girl who makes money from slapping peen online and a driver whose car belongs on 'There I Fixed It.'

The feel-good documentary is executive produced by Zach Galifianakis (so you know it's gonna be a free-for-all) and is set to hit theaters August 2nd, 2012. Trust us, you'll be surprised on the number of people out there willing to help you out in exchange for cleaning their house or -- as we've said earlier -- playing with their roosters.
