Test Your ‘Star Wars’ Knowledge With These ‘Empire Strikes Back’ Facts
Let's be honest: if you're here, you probably know a lot about the 'Star Wars' movies. But, how much do you really know? Did you know that in 'Empire Strikes Back' they used potatoes to stand-in for asteroids? Or, that Sir Alec Guinness was paid millions of dollars for five hours of work as Obi-Wan Kenobi? Well, now you can test your 'Star Wars' knowledge with the latest entry in our video series "You Think You Know Movies?"
We've previously produced videos for the original 'Star Wars' and a special episode dedicated to 'Star Wars: A Force Awakens', but this week we turn to the best 'Star Wars' movie, and one of the best movies of all-time. So, how did this sci-fi sequel become such a classic? It helps when you have a classic line, but what's funny is how often people get it wrong. "Luke, I am your father," is not the actual line from the movie. The actual dialogue is Darth Vader: Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father. Luke: He told me enough. He told me you killed him. Darth Vader: No. I am your father.
‘You Think You Know Movies?’ is a ScreenCrush original series that dives deep into the cinematic worlds of your favorite movies and freeze frames a few tidbits you might not have known. We’ve already tackled ‘Star Wars,’ ‘The Avengers’ and ‘Spider-Man,’ but now, with ‘Star Wars 7’ on the way, it’s time to look back at another adventure from a galaxy far, far away.
