Super Bowl XLVII -- translated to Super Bowl 47 -- will air on Sunday, February 3rd at 6:30 PM EST on CBS television. The 2013 Super Bowl will take place at the New Orleans Mercedes-Benz Superdome, making it the tenth time New Orleans has hosted the event.

This year's competitors for the event were Glendale's University of Pheonix Stadium and Miami's Sun Life Stadium, both of which were voted down at the NFL Spring Ownership Meetings in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

CBS plans to charge a record $4 million for each thirty-second ad space.

In October, it was reported that singer/songwriter, Beyoncé Knowles, will be performing during the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show. Potential collaborators consist of husband Jay-Z and the remaining two-thirds of Destiny's Child.
