A Celtic FC supporter took to her video camera following Celtic’s 3-0 loss at its home stadium in Glasgow to Italian giants Juventus in the Champions League round of 16. Although the return leg in Turin still has yet to be played, for this red-headed Celt, her club hasn’t a snowball’s chance in hell.

A number of things make this video an essential watch from a soccer and linguistic perspective. The “brogue” or accent from Scotland and Ireland, appears to be from Belfast and is as thick as an early morning Loch Ness fog—hence her take on the 3-0 score line, “Free (expletive) newl.”

Celtic, the only Scottish club to have ever won the European Cup, has long-standing ties to the Irish Republican Army and the Irish nationalist cause. The veins popping out of the angst-filled teen’s face are no doubt a testament to her passion for the club and what they represent.

Unfortunately, it’s quite laughable to presume Celtic would progress any further than this. A fluke win over Barcelona in the group stage aside, any expectation of achieving glory beyond group stage progression is simply delusional, and this young fan will surely see much less deserving defeat at the hands of Scottish clubs like Inverness or Motherwell.

The vitriol spilling from this alleged 15-year-old’s (according to commenters claiming to know the person) mouth is quite impressive and sadly the video channel doesn’t even belong to her, prompting a few to demand the video be taken down.
