You know adventuresome Bear Grylls from the television series 'Man vs. Wild,' where he ate insects, drank his own pee and challenged an elk to a fencing match. (We may have misremembered that last part.)

Well, now that Bear Grylls isn't a part of 'Man vs. Wild' anymore, he is going around doing arbitrary, dangerous things like setting baseballs on fire and throwing them to Major League Baseball players.

Grylls was on hand at Dodger Stadium on Thursday to throw out the first pitch prior to the Los Angeles Dodgers' game. Without any obvious reason, like needing to ward away angry Dodgers' fans eager for a Matt Kemp autograph, Grylls set fire to the ceremonial first pitch baseball before delivering it to Dodgers' catcher Matt Treanor. Watch the video below:

After some of his survivalist antics over the years, Bear Grylls couldn't just toss the ball and wave. At least he didn't try to set up a campsite at second base between innings.
