10 Kickass Female Characters Who Prove Video Games Aren’t Just a Man’s World

There's no question that sexism is prominent throughout the history of video games.A vast majority of games have depicted women inferior to men. Women constantly require a man's help solving any conflicts in the storyline. Very few titles from the Xbox One lineup at E3 this year featured a female protagonist. Aside from Bayonetta 2 (starring a hyper-sexualized female lead) and Beyond: Two Souls and Mirror's Edge 2, we can't think of many other front-line titles featuring female protagonists.

Though this type of thought may exist in the industry, we would like to present our list of 10 characters who fight sexism in gaming in order to help inspire change.
