The 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue hits newsstands this week and features Katherine Webb of BCS National Championship fame.

Webb, a graduate of Auburn University, achieved internet stardom earlier this year when she watched her boyfriend, QB AJ McCarron, play for the University of Alabama in the BCS National Championship game.

Her 15 minutes of fame began about 30 minutes into the game, when aging and pervy sportscaster Brent Musburger, after the camera panned to Webb and McCarron's mother, said, "You quarterbacks, you get all the good-looking women. What a beautiful woman." The statement caused ESPN to later apologize for the comments, but the "damage" was done. Ms. Webb became an instant sensation, gaining a deluge of Twitter followers and now a coveted spot in the SI Swimsuit Issue.

Kate Upton is again SI's cover model, but the "Bama Bombshell" also gets a nod on the cover. The issue will hit newsstands later this week, but SI, in a huge publicity push, has already released 30 photos of Webb for us all to enjoy.

One photo, which will leave the sports-rabid fans of the State of Alabama sated, features Ms. Webb in a bikini while she sports a cut-off, split allegiance jersey that is half University of Alabama and half Auburn University.

Of course, just like the drooling Musburger, that is probably not the half of Ms. Webb buyers of the issue will be focusing in on.
