The new music releases for February 2013 warm us up in the bitter cold.

It's still cold and it's still miserable. At least in many parts of the country that have brutal and bitter winter weather. That said, there's some pretty killer new music releases in February 2013 to help you get through the home stretch of cold, from rap to rock, like 50 Cent and Lil Wayne to Bullet for My Valentine and Coheed and Cambria.

It's a hip-hop dominated month, with Fitty making his return with 'Street King Immortal.' It's not like he needs to make music, since he collected plenty of bank with Vitamin Water. He must be doing it because he loves it...like a fat kids loves cake.

"It" female rapper Azealia Banks, recently in the news for accusing Coldplay's manager of abuse and for calling gossiper Perez Hilton a gay slur word, will finally drop 'Broke With Expensive Taste.' You might want to check this one out and see what all the fuss is about. She's also rumored to be working with Lady Gaga and Beyonce, which is dope.

If you're looking for new music releases in February 2013, and you're more of a rocker, those upstate New York progmakers Coheed and Cambria will issue 'Afterman: Descension," the second of the albums in their double concept set. It's a lot to digest, but if you like metallic prog, then this is all you. If you happen to enjoy the graphic novel, as well, you might want to check Co and Ca out, since singer Claudio Sanchez writes comics and just had one commissioned to be turned into a film by Mark Wahlberg's production company.

If you like to crank country tunes while driving the old pickup truck, then grab Tim McGraw's 'Two Lanes of Freedom,' out on Feb. 5. Need to get a present for your mom or the cat lady in your life? Then pick up Josh Groban's 'All That Echoes.' His fanbase is knee-deep in menopause and cats, and he knows it.

Lil Wayne's also issuing 'I Am Not a Human Being II,' so that should be good and Autotuned, while Buckcherry, who had a stripper anthem a few years ago with 'Crazy B----,' will bring the rawk with 'Confessions.'

And finally, may we recommend, for the discerning indie rocker out there, Atoms for Peace, the project of Radiohead's Thom Yorke.
