Best Prank Ever? Watch this Amazing Real-life Video of Watch Dogs’ Style of Hacking
This real-life video of using a phone to hack traffic lights, an ATM and car systems would make Aidan Pearce proud.
Ubisoft has released a video depicting "real-life" people going to a small electronics store offering a variety of cell phones and accessories. We have seen hundreds of these types of stores in most urban areas, but this one is a quite special. The owner offers to fix customers' phones and then gifts them with an app. The store owner goes even further and shows his patrons the many things he could hack into with this special app. He starts off with a few simple things, such as turning off his store's lights and even street lights, but eventually starts hacking bigger electronic devices, like cars, traffic signals and an ATM.
While the store owner's voice got annoying after a few minutes and nearly everyone seemed to be in on the gag, it was still a great experiment nonetheless. Nothing beats the expression onlookers had on their faces when the police showed the store-goers the final message their phones had to say.
Prepare to hack everything in sight when Watch Dogs launches for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. While there is a Wii U version of Watch Dogs in the works that will integrate touchscreen mechanics into its gameplay, it has been postponed and has yet to have a new launch date announced.
