Adam Carolla has made quite a name for himself in showbiz. From the Man Show to his popular daily podcast, Carolla's name is synonymous with humor and "guy" entertainment. So why is he considered changing the name he worked so hard to build? Because Nissan thew a ton of money at him.

In this kind-of clever Nissan spot, Carolla gets tired of people making the comparison between his last name and the Toyota car model. So he decides to change his name to Adam Versa after the Nissan Versa. Clever on the part of the Nissan people. Kind of a sell-out move on Carolla's part. It's actually a deal Carolla himself would rip other celebrities about.

Look, we're all for making a buck, but the idea that the guy who hosts a show on SpeedTV about high-octane rides is amped by the idea of changing his name to a mid-level Nissan. Eh, we ain't buying. We are selling though. We'll sell out and change our last names to any company offering cash.

Unless it's a Prius. A guy has to have standards.
