Winnie Cooper from ‘The Wonder Years’ – Where is She Now?
Ah, Winnie Cooper. Danica McKellar played the ultimate girl next door in 'The Wonder Years,' a coming-of-age tale set in the '60s-'70s that aired in the late '80s and into the early '90s, But where is she now?
Winnie Cooper was the love interest of the show's main character, a kid named Kevin Arnold. Throughout the series we'd see their love blossom, fade away and ultimately spark up again, time after time. For those of us who grew up around the time this show aired, Winnie was probably our first television crush and set the standard for all real-life crushes. We got by with a little help from Winnie.
But what has actress Danica McKellar, the object of our television affections, been up to these days? Well, she's guest-starred on several shows since her child star days, including an episode of 'Working,' with former co-star Fred Savage. You might also remember her from a famous episode of 'How I Met Your Mother' that involved a pineapple.
But one of her biggest claims to fame these days is as a kickass mathematician. She graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a degree in mathematics and has been trying to find ways to make math more appealing to adolescents. She recently started a show on the Nerdist Channel called 'Math Bites,' which will have guest stars like Felicia Day, Chris Hardwick and Amanda Crew.
