Long before the internet, social media and entire TV stations dedicated to the sport, wrestling had to advertise their upcoming house shows much like the town plumber -- they took out ads in local newspapers. 

As a kid, a newspaper ad for an upcoming wrestling show automatically put me into begging mode with the parents. Can we go? Can we? Please? I'll be good. I love you more. I'll even take care of you when you're too old to poop in the proper places.
