Is the Military Training Civilians for a Zombie Apocalypse?

We have no idea where the hell this whole zombie apocalypse fascination started. Having tons of dead people invade the planet isn't exactly the stuff we fantasize about, but there are two awesome things that have come out of it all-- 'The Walking Dead' and zombie babes. Lots and lots of zombie babes. While we pretty much blow off any sort of possibility of this actually happening, the men in the military are taking this stuff pretty seriously.

Today, hundreds of San Diego-area "Marines, Navy special ops, soldiers, police, firefighters and others" are undergoing emergency response training called "Zombie Apocalypse." We're not kidding. Government officials have organized this event in an odd attempt to prepare Americans for said pending invasion.

The whole thing is supposed to go down like this: "A VIP and his personal detail are trapped in a village, surrounded by zombies when the bomb explodes. The VIP is wounded and his team must move through the town while dodging bullets and shooting back at the invading zombies." Then zombies bite the Military dudes, and things continue to get weird.

Sure it all sounds pretty crazy, but seriously-- we can't think of a better way to go out than by banging a few dozen zombie chicks first. Bring on the apocalypse!
