New video game releases for February 2013 makes us want to stay home for days.

Chances are, in a month like February, you don't want to be out on the roads, dealing with the cold weather, black ice and bad drivers. Video game companies seem to be aware of this fact, since a slew of new games are on the market for the second month of the year and can help you pass the time while there's a deep freeze. Thaw out those trigger fingers, since you're going to be using them a lot especially if you don't have a date for Valentine's Day.

Dead Space 3 lands, and with it, the chance to take down the Necromorphs. Avalanches, treacherous ice climbs and the general wilderness make for an adventurous mission but we know you’re up for it.

Also out is Crysis 3, which is prime material for those who like to blow stuff up in tactical fashion. You assess, adapt and attack, becoming the hunter while fighting to be the last man standing. Cool, if you crave victory but don't want to leave the basement much.

If you like your video game play to be of the destructive sort, since you can get our your frustrations in the world of make believe, you might want to check out Painkiller: Hell and Damnation. With a title like that, need we say more? Well, actually, we should, since it's a bit more of an old-school style shooter game. Given today's crazy CGI and technological advancements, this is a bit of a "classic."
